How did you meet your Marine and if you’re planning on getting married if you aren’t already, what are your plans?
My husband and I were actually a blind date, to The Marine Corps Birthday Ball, set up by mutual friends! He called me and we talked for hours two or three times before the actual date but it was a true blind date. After that first four hour phone conversation, I told my mom that he was the guy I was going to marry! After only talking to him on the phone! Sounds crazy but it’s the honest truth! We’re still going strong after 16 years of marriage, 12 moves and 10 deployments! The Marine Corps has provided us with a great life and we all (husband, myself and 2 kids) love it. Retirement could be right around the corner for us if he so chooses but we’re asking him to continue and go as far as they will let home. It’s definitely not for everyone but it’s definitely for us!
Oh, we had a huge military wedding complete with sword arch and all. Having all those guys there in their dress blues was great! Now, it’s your turn! ;)
